About HexNest

HexNest’s founding started when Founder, Mark, was performing a high bar gymnastics routine at his high school. Mark did his due diligence to place a gymnastics mat below the high bar in case of a fall, but that unfortunately wasn’t enough.

During his practice, Mark fell onto this mat and it insufficiently cushioned his fall, resulting in Mark breaking several vertebrae in his spine. He became one of the 86,000 gymnasts every year that seek medical attention from injury. Mark made a full recovery, but he should never have been put in that position with sports and gymnastics equipment.

Our Approach

HexNest was created with the idea that safety shouldn’t be a luxury for athletes. The company has since expanded its focus to all open cell foam applications, and we have been actively growing ever since. We strive to create the safest and most applicable solution for our partners, and we do this through constant testing and iteration.

We deliver this on two strong fronts: First, the development of our tech has been driven by engineers with a variety of backgrounds and credentials. We’ve also collaborated with industry and academic leaders to guide us in the product development and research.

Second, we’ve been very diligent and focused on working with vendors to integrate into their products and supply chain. We effectively collaborate with our partners to deliver the best value, from the start of production to the final product delivery and beyond.
